Agency Principal and Founder John B. Morelock began his career as a commercial business insurance multi-lines underwriter with a national carrier. He then focused on customers as an independent agent, eventually becoming an agency manager and co-founding multiple successful independent insurance agencies. This journey led to the birth of M Insurance Services, a boutique insurance agency that took off.

However, this success wouldn't have been possible without many great mentors over the decades. One mentor encouraged him to pursue a future in insurance at the University of Mississippi/Ole Miss College of Business and Economics School of Risk Management and Insurance. Another mentor and family friend provided guidance on how to best operate an insurance agency and serve its customers.

While Mr. Morelock was born and raised in Dallas, he has spent the past thirteen years residing in Austin, Texas with his wife Whitney and sons Elliott, Reid, and Beau.
